The ill-fitting suit appears to be a very common problem for men, so having invested good money in a beautiful suit, we are sure you would like it to fit perfectly; hence John Craig offers free tailoring on suits and formal trousers.

Formal trousers should sit on your hips, but slightly higher than where you would wear your jeans, closer to your belly button. The length is correct when there is one break, of fold in the front of the trousers when wearing shoes, but the back of the trouser should fall straight. When you stand in formal trousers without shoes, the back should just touch the floor. Please note that with narrower trousers, they can be a little shorter. Trousers should be plain fronted, as pleats usually only suit two types of people; those with expanded girth and those who wear their trousers on their waist. Good advice is to try and buy two pairs of trousers for each suit; the suit will last twice as long as the trousers will always be worn harder than the suit jacket.

Our free tailoring offer applies only to suits and formal trousers bought from John Craig at the time of purchase, but we are pleased to advise that the service is fast, and in some cases a ‘same day service’ is possible.
